GRADES 1 & 2

Grades 3 and 4

GRADES 3 & 4

GRADES 5 & 6

MIDDLE SCHOOL (GRADES 7 – 8)
Our class starts out with a motivational element which could be a hands on project in a form of a skit, puzzle, music, props or any other form of thinking skill which relates to our lesson. We then have a power point presentation made up by the teacher along with our paper hand out provided by Family Bible Study. These two items include a life question, three key series of bible passages with interputations of those verses in simple terms (a power point picture says a thousand words), a testimony from a 7th or 8th grader in another state who relates to our main idea about the main idea, and in conclusion we then understand the answer to our life question. Finally, we have an outline of our life impacts and bible passage truths that we have learned. The teacher gives a challenge relative to our lesson for the up coming week and prayer request are opened. Then, dismiss with a prayer thanking God for our lesson, pray for the enactment of the holy spirit and an acceptance to take place for the lost, asking for the Lord to bless our church, home, school, and many other needs.

Our hope is for unconditional love as portrayed by Jesus Christ our Savior, understanding the plan of salvation and the responsibilities there of. We are all so excited to get a visitor, please come! Our classroom is located in the church office building downstairs.

HIGH SCHOOL (GRADES 9-12)
LAF Our class is focused on living every day for Christ. Activities, games, discussion and bible study are explored to give youth tools, ideas and goals to build a future that includes and depends on God. Come to have fun, learn and live for Christ! BRING YOUR FRIENDS! We are located in the basement of the church office building (behind the main building).

COLLEGE AND CAREER

NOMADS – YOUNG ADULT
Our age group ranges from 20 something to 40 something and is a delightful mix of single and married young adults. We are currently studying Matthew 5-7, the Sermon on the Mount. The study explores how we should relate to God and others.".
We are a friendly, fun-loving group. Wander on in because you will be accepted and welcomed. Our class is located on the main level, at the East end of the hall.

heartseekersHEARTSEEKERS
Heartseekers are seeking the heart of God. Our class focuses on answers to questions about life after death. Our age group is ages 30 - 50's, singles or couples. This class seeks member participation and class discussion on topics studied so all can feel an integral part of the study group. We follow a curriculum but will study other sources when there is interest.

IN HIS STEPS
Our class chose the name “In His Steps” because we are constantly striving to follow in Christ’s steps through Bible Study, prayer, ministry and encouraging others in our church family and community. We provide a monthly support to the Loving Choice Pregnancy Center.

Our age group is approximately 40 and up, mostly couples. Singles are welcome as well. We are presently studying the regular Sunday School curriculum of Bible study with a very meaningful period of sharing prayer requests and needs. We support each other through prayer and regular group outings. We recently visited Shakertown and are making plans to visit Derby Dinner Playhouse in the near future.

Our class is located on the second floor at the top of the steps on the East end of the hall. Come give us a try, we would love to have you!

LIGHTHOUSE
The Lighthouse group seeks to shine forth light into a dark and dangerous world, reach out to those who are lost, be used as a point of reference giving direction, serve as a safe haven or hospital during storms, serve as a base for the training of rescuers, provide tools and equipment for rescuers, serve as a meeting place for rescuers, give rescuers direction to the safe harbor/lighthouse, give an unmoving point of reference upon a constantly moving sea, and shine forth a warning light for the shallows and rocks of the shore.

Our class is open to singles and couples age 30 - 50's. We generally follow the regular Sunday School curriculum. Currently we are finishing the "The Purpose Driven Life."

JOY CLASS
Our age group is approximately 40 and up, coed. We are presently studying International Sunday School lessons. We provide a monthly support to the Galilean Home Ministry and are ready to reach out to everyone. Our class is located on the second floor at the top of the steps on the West end of the hall.

NAOMI CLASS (Ladies only)
Naomi was chosen for our class name because Naomi was a woman faithful to God and family, a loving woman loved by those around her. We presently study the regular Sunday School curriculum of Bible study in an open discussion format. We are females ages 40 and up. Our members are exciting, caring, and growing in many ways. We are located on the second level midway down the hall.

RUTH CLASS (Ladies only)
Our class is named after the Biblical character, Ruth. Throughout the study of Ruth you find a lady who was so devoted to her mother-in-law and family that she forsook what could potentially have been a secular inheritance of great significance to her had she stayed in the land of Moab. However, despite the urging and prodding of Naomi, her mother-in-law, to remain in Moab, Ruth so lovingly and sacrificially chose to go with her mother-in-law into the land of Judah. As we read in Ruth 1:16, “But Ruth replied, ‘don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go, I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people, will be my people and your God, my God’”. Ruth renounced all that she could be expected to hold dear in Moab to begin a new life in Judah, a testimony to her deceased husband and to Naomi that she was willing to entrust herself to the God whom they worshipped. Through her subsequent marriage to Boaz, she became an ancestress in the lineage of King David, and thus, of Jesus Christ. Members of this class are not “biological” ancestors of Jesus Christ but instead “spiritual” descendants and followers of Christ. This is so well manifested by the many compassionate deeds expressed by the class. The ministries of the class “go with “ and “stay” with those in need through prayers, visitations, cards, meals and other acts of encouragement. The class desires to “take on the image of Christ” in being His hands and feet in times of suffering, be it due to death of a loved one, illness, surgeries, or any other malady as well as rejoice in situations as merited.

The Ruth class consists of ladies somewhere in the age range of 65-83, many of whom are widows. The class desires for all attendees to feel warmly received and accepted, irregardless of age or circumstance, and to remain with us as long as they feel their spiritual or other needs are met. The heart of the class is missions-beginning in the local community, as evidenced by its quick response to needs-be they spiritual, emotional, physical, or financial.

There are times when the class meets at Shoney’s for breakfast, or assemble in someone’s home for pot luck, soup/sandwiches or salad supper, or have coffee, juice, donuts or breakfast muffins at the beginning of class to help us further bond in the family of Christ.

Primarily, the class is lecture-based with discussion open and welcomed. The class receives and considers all ideas and thoughts regarding the topics. The Ruth Class desires to “go where you go and. . .to be your people” as descendents of Ruth and of Jesus Christ.

BETHANY CLASS (Ladies only)
We have a very nice class of ladies ages 69 years young and up. We minister to others by sending many cards. We don’t tell our members their next class is Heaven, we just say our class is a launching pad. We are presently studying the regular Sunday School curriculum of Bible study.

MEN I CLASS (Gentlemen only)
Our class is made up of men with an average age of 67 years young. We study the regular Sunday School curriculum of Bible Study. Just a few ways to describe our class are – good fellowship, active response, and faithful attendance.
