Building Expansion Project - A Commitment to Build

Graefenburg Baptist Church is uniquely located between Shelbyville and Frankfort which affords us the opportunity to minister to a very large community. In order to have adequate space for our existing needs, as well as to be able to offer ministries that are currently beyond the options available in our existing building, we are well along the road to building a 14,000 square foot multi-purpose building.

Our current Capital Growth Campaign designed to raise funds for this new facility is called “Connect… with God and with others!” Our desire is for each church member to grow in their relationship with God by seeing sacrificial giving as an act of worship. We also want to encourage the church family to see this new facility as a way to better connect with others in hopes of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are humbly asking that each of our church family ask themselves this question,

“What am I willing to sacrifice in order for this building to be built to the glory of God?”

King David said in II Samuel 24:24 “I will not give to the Lord that which costs me nothing.” We are asking our church family to not consider what they can afford to give, but rather to ask what they can give if they sacrifice something. Considering what God has done for us, and because we can see how this building will be used to the glory of God, isn’t giving sacrificially an appropriate response? We truly believe that each gift is important!

A one-quarter inch scale model of our new Multi-Purpose Building has been made to better enable us to see what the new building will look like. In addition to the building, we also have a vision of multiple ministries being accommodated and conducted by having this space available.
